Where ecommerce and orders fits inside your MLM software

Ecommerce and orders is one feature of the full MLM software, the storefront and order layer between what members buy and what the software pays. Your compensation plan decides what an order earns, the genealogy tree places who earned it, commission management calculates it, and e-wallet & payouts plus reports & analytics show what was paid. You don't buy an ecommerce platform; you buy MLM software and this feature handles product purchase and repurchase shopping inside it. Prepaid gateway checkout via API & integrations is separately scoped, COD needs no gateway.

  1. Plan, orders & genealogy

Your compensation plan, orders and genealogy tree decide who earns and what was bought. Orders carry lineage from day one.

  2. Commission → wallet → reports

Commission management posts, e-wallet & payouts holds, and reports & analytics traces the same entries for every order, before any external call.

  3. Ecommerce and orders (this feature) → Checkout

The storefront lists your configured catalog, enforces global inventory with low-stock notification, and records COD and, when purchased, prepaid orders with repurchase-aware, plan-specific commission trace tested on the demo.

Ecommerce is included for ecommerce-based plans; added as a separately quoted secondary module for other compensation plans, see pricing & cost drivers. The demo runs inside the real software, not as a mock storefront.

Who uses this feature

Who uses ecommerce and orders inside the software?

Built for teams buying MLM software, owners launching a new catalog and agencies setting it up for a client, and for every person who shops: distributors repurchasing and end customers making a product purchase.

Company owners (buying software)

Define the catalog, variants and SKUs, watch global inventory with low-stock notifications, enable COD and, when you add a gateway, prepaid, and test product purchase plus repurchase orders on a working demo before customers see the store.

Agencies (configuring for a client)

Map the client's catalog and order statuses to a single storefront, show COD plus prepaid checkout branch on a shareable demo, and hand off a tested build with global inventory and franchise/seller scoping already verified.

Distributors & customers (shopping)

Each shopper browses the same catalog, adds variants to cart, checks out via COD or prepaid where enabled, and tracks only their order history and repurchase history, scoped to their account, not the company ledger.

Feature at a glance

What does ecommerce and orders do inside your MLM software?

Inside your MLM software, the ecommerce layer lists products you configured, collects checkout choices, and records every order where it can be traced, from cart to global inventory to commission. Shopping stays simple for the buyer; the accounting stays traceable for the business.

Configurable catalog per your plan doc

Physical and digital products, variants and SKUs, not a fixed demo list, with global inventory behind it. Each variant maps cleanly to its order line and ledger entry.

Orders that follow your checkout rules

COD and prepaid branches, pending to fulfilled statuses, every order carrying member lineage from the genealogy tree and posting to the same commission engine.

Repurchase-aware from the start

Repeat product purchase triggers your plan's repurchase commission; the storefront stays uniform and the ledger differs by plan, tested on the demo before launch.

How ordering works

How does ordering work in MLM software?

One storefront, two checkout paths, one traceable ledger. Every order follows the same five steps, the only branch is how the buyer pays.

  1. 1, Browse

    What happens
Customer or distributor browses catalog products and variants (size, count, pack) with global stock shown
    Who / how
Any shopper on the storefront, physical + digital
    Result
    Product + variant chosen
  2. 2, Cart

    What happens
Adds variants/SKUs to cart, shopping cart holds quantities before checkout
    Who / how
Shopper; quantities respect available global inventory
    Result
    Cart ready
  3. 3, Checkout branch

    What happens
COD cash on delivery, no gateway; or Prepaid via gateway, Razorpay / Paytm / PayPal etc. separately scoped
    Who / how
Shopper chooses; prepaid only where you enabled API & integrations
    Result
    Payment method locked, order created
  4. 4, Fulfilment

    What happens
Order moves through your configured statuses: pending → processing → fulfilled; global inventory decremented and low-stock notification evaluated
    Who / how
Admin / franchise/seller processes; member/customer tracks own order
    Result
    Order fulfilled; stock updated
  5. 5, Ledger post

    What happens
Order links to genealogy position and posts to commission ledger and reports, repurchase vs first-purchase rule applied per plan
    Who / how
Commission engine reads the same order your shopper placed
    Result
Traceable ledger entry, what you see in reports is what was ordered

COD needs no gateway; prepaid does. Payment-gateway / any external API integration is separately scoped, not included in the standard Rs 19,999 setup + Year 1. Both branches are co-tested on the demo when you enable prepaid. What you test on the demo is what goes live.

Catalog & inventory, global, not siloed

How is the catalog and inventory organized?

Your product list is configured per your plan doc, not a fixed template. Physical products and digital products live in the same catalog. Variants and SKUs keep packs and sizes distinct without duplicating the product. Stock is global per product, one number that every order decrements, and the system raises a low-stock notification when that global count hits your threshold. Sellers and franchises don't get a separate stock pool; they get a separate view of orders and inventory for what they sold or manage.

Repurchase, not a second store

How is repurchase different from first purchase?

First purchase is the initial order that comes with joining; repurchase is every product purchase or shopping that happens after that. Buyers see one catalog either way, the storefront is uniform. The difference sits in the ledger: your plan rule decides whether that order funds a repurchase commission, and in which shape. Test both traces on the demo before you open the store.

Repurchase versus first purchase, uniform storefront, plan-specific commission distribution
TypeWhen it happensWhat the buyer seesCommission distribution (plan-specific)
First purchaseInitial product purchase tied to new member joinSame catalog, same cart, same COD/prepaid checkoutJoin-linked payout per plan (e.g., binary pairing, generation first-level), uniform UI, rule differs
RepurchaseRepeat shopping, member or customer buying again (monthly, campaign, or whenever they need it)Same catalog, same cart, same COD/prepaid checkoutRepurchase commission where your plan uses it, uniform UI, trace shows repurchase badge in ledger

Three scopes, one catalog

What can admins, franchises/sellers and members each see?

Admin view

  • Full catalog, every product, variant/SKU and global inventory with low-stock banner
  • All orders, every COD + prepaid order with status and checkout branch
  • Order → ledger trace, genealogy position → commission ledger → e-wallet for every order
  • Global reports, inventory report, order/repurchase history reconciling to ledger totals

Franchise / seller view

  • Scoped catalog, products they sell or manage within the same global inventory
  • Own orders, orders they fulfilled or own, with status and repurchase label
  • Own stock view, their orders' impact on global count, not a duplicate number
  • Own reports, seller/franchise order and stock reports tied to global totals

Member / customer view

  • My orders only, own product purchase and repurchase shopping history
  • My status, pending/processing/fulfilled for own COD/prepaid orders
  • My trace, each own order links to volume it carried (same logic admin sees, scoped)
  • Shop, not approve, members shop; they do not approve other members' orders

Screenshots below show all three scopes from approved test data, same products, different scope.

Configuration

What can MLM Bazaar configure in your store?

Set once from your catalog and plan doc, applied to every product view, cart, and order, and re-tested on the demo before launch.

Catalog & variants

Physical + digital products, variants and SKUs per your doc, not a hard-coded sample set. Each variant maps cleanly to its order line.

Orders & status

Browse → cart → checkout (COD + prepaid) → pending/processing/fulfilled → order history and repurchase history with lineage trace.

Inventory & low-stock

Global inventory per product with low-stock notification threshold you set; single source of truth for stock reports.

Payment method & gateway

COD by default; prepaid via gateway API (Razorpay / Paytm / PayPal etc.) when you add that API integration, separately scoped.

Labels & display

How each product and order shows, product name, variant, SKU, price, stock status, configured to your column set, consistent across store, orders and exports.

Scoping & trace

Admin full vs franchise/seller vs member scoping; order → genealogy → commission trace visible where your plan links orders to payout.

Demo before production

How are ecommerce and orders tested before they go live?

What you test is what goes live. The demo is the acceptance point, including COD plus prepaid and repurchase.

  1. Share your plan & catalog doc

Products (physical+digital), variants/SKUs, global stock, low-stock threshold, payment methods, order statuses, repurchase rule.

  2. Map to storefront

Confirm catalog → inventory link, COD + prepaid branch, franchise/seller scoping for the store.

  3. Configure demo

Store seeded with sample products across variants, global stock, franchise/seller accounts and varied orders.

  4. You shop

Place a COD product purchase plus a prepaid repurchase yourself, verify variant, cart, checkout and stock decrement.

  5. Verify trace

Each order checked, genealogy position → commission ledger → e-wallet lineage, first purchase vs repurchase badge.

  6. Check low-stock

Trigger low-stock by depleting threshold; confirm notification fires for global inventory.

  7. Fix & re-test

Corrections re-tested on the same demo, not described after the fact.

  8. Approved → production

Only the approved config ships. Typical 3 to 7 days when scope and approvals are ready, not a promise.

History & reconciliation

What history and reconciliation are available?

What was ordered is what the ledger shows, every history row stays tied to the order that created it, scoped by who is looking.

Order history

Every COD and prepaid order with product/variant, status, payment branch and repurchase badge, filterable by date, member, seller/franchise and order type.

Repurchase history

Repeat product purchase filtered separately, same columns, same scope rule, linked to the commission ledger where your plan pays on repurchase.

Inventory report

Global stock per product with low-stock flag; seller/franchise-scoped variant tied to the same global totals, reconciling to the order count.

Related: commission management for how orders post to ledger, e-wallet & payouts for how fulfilled orders become wallet credits, reports & analytics for filtered exports.

Scope & pricing, no hidden add-ons

Is ecommerce and orders sold separately or included in the MLM software?

Not a separate product, the answer depends on the plan you run: included for ecommerce plans, added as a secondary module for other plans.

Separately scoped & quoted

  • Payment-gateway / external API integration, Razorpay / Paytm / PayPal etc. + any auto fulfilment/shipping API
  • External inventory-feed API or multi-warehouse sync beyond standard global inventory
  • Deep shipping/fulfilment customisation beyond standard order-status flow
  • Ecommerce as secondary module, when a non-ecommerce plan (binary/matrix/unilevel/monoline/generation/donation) adds this feature
  • Year 2+ hosting, domain and support renewals, plus taxes and third-party charges; GST invoicing customisation where applicable

For other compensation plans adding ecommerce as a secondary module, binary, matrix, unilevel, monoline, generation or donation, catalogue + orders are configured for that plan's commission rule and charged separately. Prepaid gateway is always a separately scoped integration; see API & integrations. From Year 2, hosting, domain and support renew annually per the service agreement.

What we need from you

What we need to configure your store

Share what you already know, we fill the gaps from the standard structure for your plan before we configure the demo.

To configure the store and quote correctly:

  • Your catalog seed, product names, whether each is physical or digital, variants/SKUs and any pack sizes, even a draft list works for the first demo.
  • Inventory & fulfilment rule, global stock per product, low-stock threshold you want the alert at, and the order statuses (pending/processing/fulfilled) plus returns if you need them.
  • Checkout choice, COD only, prepaid only, or both, and if prepaid, which gateway you prefer to add later as a separately scoped integration.
  • Plan doc link, do you want repurchase to trigger commission, and if so, per which plan rule? Helps the demo show first purchase vs repurchase traces correctly.

Questions answered, before the sales call

Ecommerce and orders, FAQ

Ten questions buyers ask before they request a demo, including repurchase, COD vs prepaid, and Shopify comparison, with answers that mirror what you will see on the working demo.

What does ecommerce and orders do inside MLM software?

Ecommerce and orders is a feature inside MLM Bazaar MLM software that lists your products and handles product purchase and repurchase. You configure the catalog, variants and global inventory with low-stock notification, then customers, distributors or franchise sellers place COD and prepaid orders as you enable them. Every order links to genealogy position and posts to the commission ledger and e-wallet according to your plan rules, and you test that order to commission trace on a working demo before it goes live.

How does ordering work in MLM software?

Browse products and variants → add to cart → checkout. At checkout you choose COD or prepaid (prepaid via a payment gateway such as Razorpay, Paytm or PayPal, separately scoped). The order then moves through your configured status, pending, processing, fulfilled, and posts to commission and reporting where your plan includes an order-linked payout. What you test on the demo, COD + prepaid + repurchase, is what goes live.

How is repurchase different from first purchase?

First purchase is the initial order tied to joining; repurchase is any repeat product purchase or shopping after that. The storefront looks the same for both, uniform UI, but the backend commission distribution differs by your plan rule. You configure which order type triggers which commission, test both on the demo, and the working demo shows the two traces side by side.

How is the catalog and inventory organized?

Products (physical and digital) with variants and SKUs are configured per your plan doc. Stock is tracked as global inventory per product, not a per-franchise duplicate stock, with low-stock notifications when a threshold is hit. Sellers and franchises see scoped order and inventory views for their own orders, while admin sees the full catalog and inventory. One global number keeps reports reconciled.

Does the store support COD and prepaid?

Yes. COD is available without an integration. Prepaid orders use a payment gateway API such as Razorpay, Paytm or PayPal, that gateway integration is separately scoped and quoted, not included in the standard Rs 19,999 setup + Year 1. You can enable COD only, prepaid only, or both, the 5-step order table on the demo shows the branch you chose.

What can admins, franchises/sellers and members each see?

Admins see the full catalog, all orders, global inventory and the complete order → commission trace. Franchise sellers or seller accounts see their own scoped orders and inventory view. Members or customers see only their own order history and repurchase history, scoped by role, consistent with their genealogy view. No one sees another party's orders or the company ledger.

MLM ecommerce vs Shopify or WooCommerce, do I need both?

Shopify and WooCommerce are general ecommerce platforms; they do not link orders to an MLM genealogy and compensation plan. MLM Bazaar's ecommerce runs inside the MLM software so every order already carries member lineage, repurchase-vs-first-purchase logic and commission trace. If you already use Shopify or WooCommerce, that integration would be a separately scoped API sync via API & integrations, not part of the standard demo. The standard ecommerce is the inside-software store, not a Shopify replacement.

Can I add ecommerce to a non-ecommerce compensation plan?

Yes. Ecommerce is included for ecommerce-based plans. When a non-ecommerce plan (binary, matrix, unilevel, monoline, generation or donation) adds ecommerce as a secondary module, it is separately quoted, see pricing. The catalog, global inventory and order → commission trace are then configured for that plan's commission rule and re-tested on the demo.

Is ecommerce and orders sold separately or included in the MLM software?

Ecommerce and orders is not sold separately, it is a feature inside MLM Bazaar MLM software. For ecommerce-based plans it is included in the Rs 19,999 setup + Year 1 (catalog with variants, global inventory with low-stock notifications, COD/prepaid orders, repurchase vs first purchase with plan-specific commission trace, scoping, demo). For other plans adding ecommerce as a secondary module it is separately quoted. From Year 2, hosting, domain and support renew annually per the service agreement. Exact wording must match the service agreement you sign before launch.

Is the order system legal or does it make the business model compliant in India?

The ecommerce feature is software, it lists products and records orders and inventory. Whether a product, pricing, repurchase incentive and payout structure is compliant is for your qualified legal professional to confirm under applicable law, including the Consumer Protection (Direct Selling) Rules, 2021. See our compliance guide for the dated legal sources and the rules last checked.

See your products and orders on a working demo
